In conjunction with the US Department of Energy and Houston Community College, GESI has identified a need for a Global LNG Centre of Excellence to be based in the Energy Corridor of Houston .
This represents a fantastic opportunity for LNG Operators, EPC Companies and Suppliers to participate in a training initiative that will address this skills shortage, create a legacy in the community they operate, and generate a Global repository for knowledge and technology-based sharing.
Our Vision
The global natural gas market is robust and will be an energy source of choice for decades to come. Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) is the fastest growing segment of the worldwide gas market for many reasons – it is abundant, economical, environmentally friendly and can be safely transported to any global destination.
With many LNG projects currently progressing towards Final Investment Decision (FID) or already underway, there is a recognized shortfall of LNG specific experience throughout industry, including safety. This lack of experience is now projected to extend beyond LNG and is anticipated to create manpower challenges throughout the Oil and Gas industry in the very near future.
The Program
The Global Energy Safety Initiative will provide a suite of training and technology programs focused on LNG across the Energy value chain ranging from basic Project Management and Execution classes through to specific LNG technology courses specialized to meet Operators demands and a view and support of new and upcoming Technologies.
GESI will utilize a modern and fully equipped college(s) ideally situated in the Houston Energy Corridor. Our training programs will include Economic, Business, Regulatory and Technical courses that will be fully accredited. Our training facilitators will be a combination of experienced Oil & Gas specialists and college professors.
